The Rotary Club of Barossa Valley has been serving the Barossa, State, National and International communities since 1956.
We are organised on several levels.

Clubs: This is the base level for members who are active in the community performing many activities to assist in the community.
Our major thrusts are:
  • Vocational: Promoting the highest standard in Business and Professional vocations.
  • Youth: Supporting and assisting young people with their development. Examples are Scholarships, Financial support, Rotary Youth Programs to help them develop leadership and education goals.
  • Community: Assisting in the community. Examples are assisting with the set up of a Creche, assisting with celebrations for Australia Day and ANZAC day, assisting in community events. A recently completed project was to provide a defribulater to every CFS station in the Barossa area.
  • International: Assisting with catastrophic events such as Tsunami, earthquakes or other natural disasters. Giving aid to struggling communities abroad. An example is our current  project (at the time of writing) is to improve dental hygiene in Ugandan School Children
  • Fellowship: This is the fun part of Rotary in organising events to promote fellowship and to raise money to pay for the activities in Rotary. Examples are social outings, raffles, visits to places of entertainment, and in conjunction with the Community committee, organise the wine auction which raised over $12000 for Drought Relief for farmers.
Our next level is Areas. We are in Area 5 which covers 7 clubs in the Barossa and Riverland regions. The groups keep in touch and often cooperate on bigger projects. Other local clubs have joined forces to ensure the Ugandan Dental project is successful.

The next level is the District. We are in district 9510, which was created in 2019 when the old Districts 9500 and 9520 merged to become District 9510.
The District provided the district training for club officers, managed marketing and promotional issues, and oversaw the district's activities.

Above the District is the Zone. We are in Zone 8 which covers Oceana. The Zone represent us to the top level, which is Rotary International in Chicago.
